Our Campaign
The Your Lands Your Wildlife Campaign is dedicated to safeguarding fish and wildlife on America's National Forest and National Public Lands Systems. Our campaign is premised on the fact that the condition of fish and wildlife populations is an indication of overall land health, and that only healthy lands can provide sustainable benefits to current and future generations.
Our goals are simple:
- Affirm the wildlife stewardship responsibilities of the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management
- Ensure science-based standards are in place to maintain sustainable fish and wildlife populations on these lands
- Measure and monitor fish and wildlife populations as indicators of overall land health
- Coordinate wildlife management across agency boundaries to address the enormous challenges of climate change and habitat loss
- Provide land managers with flexibility, while maintaining clear wildlife management objectives
America's Wildlife Heritage Act
America's Wildlife Heritage Act achieves these goals by returning science and common-sense to wildlife management on Forest Service and BLM lands so that America's wildlife legacy – and the traditions supported by it – endure for generations to come.
Restoring Balance to the Management of Our Public Lands
Federal land managers will face many challenges in the coming years. That's why now, more than ever, we need science-based reforms to federal policies, ensuring that wildlife is around for generations to come.
